William A. Paterson (1838–1921) was an American automobile maker associated with the founding of the Buick Motor Company.[2] He created the Paterson automobile[2] and briefly served as Mayor of the City of Flint.[1] He was also involved in founding the Union Trust Savings Bank.[2]
